Wheat

Well, it's wheat harvest time again. The rainy week was not appreciated. Finally this evening after supper, following a sunny, breezy afternoon, we were able to get out in the field and try combining. The moisture was still a little high, but I opened up the field anyway in anticipation of a dry Sunday and Monday. We planned a vacation starting the end of next week and I thought for sure the harvest would be over and the straw baled, but so far the Lord has other plans. Hopefully we will have a good week. It seems that the week before a vacation is so hectic that you wonder if it's worth all the trouble. But, I definitely like my vacations.

Whereas ye know not what shall be on the morrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapour, that appeareth for a little time, and then vanisheth away.
For that ye ought to say, If the Lord will, we shall live, and do this, or that.

James 4:14,15
