Before and After

Our corn crib refacing project is finished. We still need to get the roof repainted, but a different contractor is scheduled to do that. I didn't realize how bad it looked until we recovered it (but my wife was aware of how bad it looked!). It looks much better now. We also added on a garage for our new (used) feed truck. It was a lot of money to spend on an old, outdated building, but since we use it daily to grind all of our feed, we had to keep it from deteriorating any worse. My Grandpa built this crib back in the late 1920's from native lumber. It has stood the test of time very well.

And they that shall be of thee shall build the old waste places: thou shalt raise up the foundations of many generations; and thou shalt be called, The repairer of the breach, The restorer of paths to dwell in.
Isaiah 58:12

The view from my kitchen window just improved by about 500 percent.
But now I can't watch squirrels pop in and out of the holes in the wall...and wonder what else is running around in there...life will indeed be dull.
