Environment

"The sky is falling, the sky is falling, and we must tell the King!"

Is there global warming?
If there is, is man causing it?
If there is, and we are, will the overall effect be harmful?
What about species extinction?
Is the world overpopulated?

I just finished reading "The Cornwell Declaration on Environmental Stewardship" and the subsequent essays, "Environmental Stewardship in the Judeo-Christian Tradition" published by the Action Institute. This is a science and religious based approach/answer to the predominate politically correct "chicken little" environmental thinking of our times. It was put together by a diverse group of Jewish, Catholic, and Protestant thinkers, theologians, and researchers. It has a lot of common sense and wisdom in it, backed by science based research.

I believe a lot of the problem today is that too many people worship the creation rather than the creator.

Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen.
Romans 1:25

And I think it would come as a big surprise to many, including Algore and his cult, that God intends to destroy this earth.

But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.
2 Peter 3:10

As a Christian, I have an obligation to be a wise steward, but that doesn't mean following the fads and fallacies of the current environmental movements.

The facts rarely speak for themselves, especially in a political context.

This is exactly what Randy says. He says that they have made it their "god" and religion.
I agree.
